Hello,

this is someone very dear to me.

In March, I decided that we should go to Melb together to visit our siblings.

Because he goes there sooo very often, I thought it wouldn't be a problem,

so being silly ol' me, I went ahead and bought myself a ticket without even thinking twice.

Turns out he couldn't make it.

He told me that he had to follow his parents to Beijing.

Okay, me in Melb and you in China. That's great.

I was devastated.

I didn't REALLY want to go anymore, since he wasn't going.
My sister would be busy with university, and I'd be such a burden.

My friends in Melb weren't going to be in the country when I would be.

HOW COINCIDENTAL.

It was quite a disaster.

I've always had weak knees. My parents have horrible knees. Ironic, considering my dad is a knee surgeon.

Yesterday, I injured my knee while playing volleyball. Sucks, coz I had been practicing for days, just for that little match. It was really quite embarrassing, coz tons of my schoolmates saw me fall. (At least I played well for the amount of time I was on the court!) The pain was excruciating. I often dislocate my knee, but the last time I experienced something as severe as this was in 2004, as I was playing squash at a state competition - also in front of a crowd. I was wheeled into the operation room, coz I chipped a bone etc.

Recovering was extremely dreadful; taking showers was one of the most strenuous and difficult processes, taking a dump was painful, moving from one side of the room to the other felt like traveling from Pakistan to Hong Kong on foot with shards of glass in between your joints, eating was a sin, sleeping was a never ending nightmare. You do the math.

Anyway, taking all those things into thought, as I sat on the volleyball court floor, hands gripping my knee, my face and wrenching my hair out of my head, I was bawling my brains out. The first person to get to me was my brother, and apparently the first thing I said was "Where's Kenny?".

Alright, skip past all the unnecessary details like people crowding around me as though I was a wounded buffalo, my teacher lifting me vertically, me being a noisy drama queen. It's funny, coz my volleyball teammates didn't bat an eyelid. In fact, I think I pissed them off coz I ruined their game by getting injured. Team work? 100%.

Anyway, Kenny was my hero.
I cannot fathom how much he helped me yesterday.

He was the only one who truly knew how to tame my nervous wreck.

The rest was a painful memory. My friends helped get me into the car and my mom sent me to my dads.

In the car, on the way home from the hospital. I injured my knee today and require surgery. This is my conversation with ma boy on the way home.
Me: I don't think I want to go to Melbourne in September anymore. It'll be such a hassle. I'd be troubling my sister and all.
Kenny: What?! Why?
Me: I don't want to be a burden to my brother either. It'll ruin his trip.
Kenny: I'll take care of you.
Me: I just got home! Yay!
Kenny: I don't think you understand.
Me: I'm confused....
Kenny: Think again.
Me: If you're talking about taking care of me in Melbourne in the future, like in 2 years, i'd be fully recovered by then!
Kenny: ...
Me: ...If you're talking about September, ... aren't you going to Beijing?
Kenny: That was a lie.
Me: I'm going to faint. Too many surprises today.
Kenny: I'll be in Melbourne with you :) It was supposed to be a surprise.
IS HE NOT AMAZING?!!

I love you, Kenny Lim.

But I'll be spending our 9th month in the operation room. haha

reminisce

I feel as though nostalgia has rammed into me, head-on, catapulting it's passengers into the air, in my direction, pelting me violently, hammering me into the ground - defeated.

In other words, I am reminiscing the good old days, and am missing them.

The simplicity of happiness was such a familiar, easily achievable commodity, unlike today - although there may not be a factor hindering happiness, there is a cryptic, nagging conscience etched into a crevice in your mind; causing joy and happiness to repel, to become elusive, extravagant, but beyond reach - fingertips barely grazing the surface of success.

Alas, we lie here, beneath the skies of fury and dismay - despair, disarrayed, confused and dazed. Questioning ones self, only to fall short, failing in deciphering the inexplicable story of our lives.

Oblivious of the prodigious marvel beyond all the rain and storm-clouds, awaiting our discovery, we struggle in a dense sea of perpetual and ominous becoming. Until, perhaps, offered a sincere hand, outstretched and ready - capable of fishing a distressed soul out of such foul misery, we will drown in all of evil's victory.

This may seem all too confusing, but really, it only is if you take a huge portion in one sitting.

So take the puzzle of life one piece at a time,

and appreciate every incident and circumstance with grace and poise.

have a fire brigade slide pole from my room, connected to the floor below
own a vw buggy
have a walk in closet
a really royal and grand bathroom with a jacuzzi

personal post;

I haven't been the holiest child, with the disheartening paucity of faithfully attending church services; carrying out the habit of reading Gods word daily. I am solely culpable for all of this, and vow to amend this dent in my life. Ensuing a very whimsical, capricious, tiring, and emotionally-unstable ~~month~~ week, I am drained of all motivation and zeal for happiness.

Okay, what the hell. All this doesn't make any sense.

ANYWAY, I went to church today, and Ps Julie prayed for me, and it was pretty cool, coz she started putting my life out, in front of me, in words. Inevitably, I dissolved into a messy pool of hot tears. She was no different, as she dug deeper, tears came cascading down her beautifully sculpted face (exaggeration by far. i'm getting a tad bit dramatic here...). She said something along the lines of making big decisions, and that my life is in a bit of a turmoil at the moment. According to pastor, I'd be happy, successful and at peace later in my life (she literally said "not now. not for the next few years. oh no), but God will help pull me through. She made me sound like I was some kind of a Golden Chosen Beacon Child, of some sort.... which is kind of cool! I've known Ps Julie for years, now, but we never really had serious conversations, as they were always only of chocolate brownies and happy things, but today, when she prayed for me, in the most sincere voice, she said "I am so glad I finally know you, as in, what kind of person you are.". Prior to that, she sort of recited my whole personality to me; and honestly, it sounded really good. Ha ha. "You are actually very kind hearted ("actually"?), and people take advantage of that" These were her exact words. I can't really remember the rest, but they were all pretty heart-touching. No wonder I was bawling like a lost child.... Ha. She told me to stay faithful in the Lord, because she saw me at peace, skipping (she really did say skipping, and she kept relating it to those movies, where girls in dresses skip and dance with joy on top of a mountain clad in daisies) and dancing, lifting my arms in joy. "You'll be so happy, very happy, you're so beautiful, very pretty girl, when you're older!" (so I'm ugly, now? HAHA I KID. I KID.)

Her prayer was extremely long, and when she pulled me aside to talk to me, I was muddled by all this. It was too overwhelming, too much to digest in one sitting. Whatever I stated in the previous paragraph, was simply only a brief blurb of what she said to me.

Yea, it might not sound like a big deal, but really, it is, from where I see it. She could read my mind!!! It was insane! Never seen anything like it. hahaha

i need to be more holy.

I can't believe my 3-week winter break is closing in to a finish, so soon!

It was awesome, and really eventful, but i barely got to rest.

There is too much to do in just 3 weeks, it's almost unfair.

I'm on holiday-high, and don't feel like going back to school anytime soon.

On a side note, holidays are making me a lit'le too loony 8)

TODAY, I have decided not to go out, but to STAY HOME :D and get started on my photography assignment.

And in a few, imma hop off my long time neglected laptop (with an iPhone♥, laptops are no longer necessary) to cook baked rice for my MUMMA.

Hmm, not bad. I sound like a seasoned blogger, ey ;).

So I recently had a minor infatuation on IP MAN (Donnie Yen).

(At least, until I found out he's the same age as my dad)

After being prodded by many people to watch the movie,

I decided to drag KelsMels and Manders to the cinema with me.

I LOVE IP MAN.

I thought I wouldn't be able to enjoy the movie, since it was in mandarin(?) chinese(?) or.. some asian dialect. But they had subtitles, so it was cool.

HE IS AMAZING.

It's incredible how he has this blank-emotionless-cool expression on through out the movie.

Apparently IP MAN is pronounced as "YEEP MANH",

putting me to shame, as I used to say "I.P. Man" or "EEP MEN" before.
